Juliet and Ciaran

Wecome to the Surrey wedding of Juliet and Ciaran, in September 2017 at Weybridge Registry Office and Thorpe Park. They really both wanted a party, with friends and family celebrating together. Here’s the story of their day, with photos by Sassi Nation, and a surprise gift Rap by the real MC Kie.

For Juliet, the day began at the beautiful Brooklands hotel in Weybridge, where she and her bridesmaids dressed for the day, along with her mum and nieces and nephews. Fabulous shoes by Christian Louboutin, and a wonderful first reaction from the room, when the bride first appeared in her gold sequinned gown…

Family and friends were very much involved throughout the wedding day. Ciaran’s sisters – Siobhan and Claire joined Juliet’s friends Kerry (who also did Juliet’s hair and make-up), Candice (who also did the bridesmaids’ make-up),  as bridesmaids in fabulous black lace dresses by Chi Chi, along with Kate, who was Juliet’s maid of honour.

A white Rolls Royce transported the stunning bride from the hotel to Weybridge Registry Office, and she carried red roses by Lyn at BBL Design, a friend of Ciaran’s family

Juliet’s sisters all did readings during the ceremony – Maggie, Norah, Lorna and Mimi who wore the most fabulous black and red dress with white skull print.

It was Juliet’s mum, dressed in red, who walked her down the aisle, along with her four nephews- Freddie, George, Josh and Johnny in their dashing black suits. The delightful flowergirls and younger bridesmaids were Nyla (Juliet and Ciaran’s daughter), Lois (Juliet’s neice), and Juliet’s sisters Maggie and Norah,  who all wore black tutus from Baby Lane.

See what I mean about family…isn’t it just wonderful to see how so many loved ones can be part of something so special! The couple’s friends Carley (who also did the bridesmaids’ hair), Jenna, Lucy and Sarah also did beautiful readings.

Ciaran had two friends from school as his best men, along with Groomsmen Tim, Duncan and Matt, who all looked handsome in black suits, bow ties and red rose corsages

The guests were taken to Thorpe Park for the party and celebration by British Red Bus. Here, they enjoyed a barbecue and rides in the park, whilst the couple had their photos taken.

The party continued long into the evening, with a fabulous cake arranged by Juliet’s mum, a disco, to which saxophonist Chez Taylor played along. Meanwhile a big screen showed a slideshow of the guests on the Thorpe Park rides from earlier in the day.

Juliet gave Ciaran a wonderful and unexpected gift Rap during the disco. When the groom began rapping to one of his favourites, “Fly Bi”, he was stunned when suddenly the music was stopped and onto the stage appeared the real MC Kie, who stayed and did a gig for an hour to a delighted audience.

THE DRESS

When Juliet first came to see us, we knew she wanted something colourful. She just loved the idea of wearing something gold rather than the more traditional white, and she worked with our Design Consultant Jay to collaboratively arrive at the perfect design.

If you’d like to find out more about having your dress made to measure, do read the series of “how it works” blogs, kindly put together by another of our real brides, Sarah, who describes in her own words, her journey with us, from first discovering us on instagram, through the design and fitting stages, all the way to her final collection.
