Hollywood Luxe wedding inspiration

A warm welcome and thank you to the Weddings and Honeymoons magazine for publishing this fabulous spread, featuring a glamorous rose gold wedding dress I made from recycled plastic bottles, inspiring eco-conscious couples to get the Hollywood Luxe style, sustainably.

The bespoke dress and cape, I put together earlier this year, in between bridal commissions. I took my usual route of draping and modelling on a stand, which is my preferred method of pattern cutting.

Enjoy a leisurely browse through these stunning photos by Gem Hicks Photography, and find the outstanding supplier list at the end.

The dress is made from a leftover roll of white silky satin made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, which had been sitting in my sewing room for a while, waiting for its moment.

And the cape was an old but very beautiful ivory silk sample from www.james-hare.com, which began life as a bridal wrap, in my boutique.

I dyed both the dress and cape fabric before stitching them into this outfit for an www.ombralumiere.com workshop , run by creative powerhouse www.andreaverenini.com  and www.makeup-bygabby.com
