Polka dot short wedding dress
As an older bride, I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted or what would suit me. I’d scoured the London streets turning down Burberry, Max Mara and Mulberry dresses as not being bridal enough, then tried wedding dress shops but felt the traditional dresses didn’t quite fit my vision either. I came across Caroline Arthur’s website purely by chance and started playing with the interactive Couture Kit mannequin, such fun. I loved the idea of being able to try on various styles of bodice and skirt to see what worked well together and what I’d feel most comfortable.
Having booked an initial appointment, I met with CoutureKit Design Consultants Louise and Aleshia, who indulged my every whim, allowing me to try every combination imaginable until I was happy with the overall look. My posse of onlookers gave their input and a fun afternoon was had by all.
I received the drawings of my dress with samples of the material and then began to panic about various aspects of my choices, getting it just right was important. Louise was very understanding, I was brought back in for a further consultation. Caroline herself came along, all my concerns were addressed and I felt confident that my dress would be perfect.
Then came the fitting, I couldn’t have been happier, my dress was gorgeous, some minor adjustments were made by Carolines lovely dressmaker Jacintha and my children were shown how to help dress me on my special day.
The whole Caroline Arthur experience was simply the best. Louise was supportive, nothing was too much trouble and my dress was gorgeous I felt fabulous from the moment I put it on and didn’t want to take it off.
Thank you to you all. I’m so glad I stumbled across your website, good luck with your Richmond venture.
Thanks Liz for this lovely guest blog – we so enjoyed making your wedding dress, and thank you to your photographer Yvonne for her kind permission.
