Learn what to do with your wedding dress after the wedding
Whether you’re a Bride-to-Be, Just-Married, or you’ve had your dress tucked away in the loft for years, this is for YOU! My quick-start guide will give you ideas and inspiration and clear up some myths about after-care of your precious bridal gown, whatever stage you’re at.
When you arrive at my beautiful oak-framed bridal boutique Surrey, for a wedding dress consultation or fitting, you’ll find a warm welcome in a relaxed environment. This is where my brides come and try on wedding dress samples, look at fabrics, veils and accessories, and together, we begin to bring together a clear vision for your bespoke gown. I work by appointment only.
Wildacre is in a calm, secluded setting at the end of a lane, surrounded by woods, in the village of Witley, near Guildford: GU8 5QD. It is easily reached by train from London Waterloo, although most of my brides opt to enjoy the leafy drive into this area of outstanding beauty. I occasionally have deer and pheasants peeping through the window, but that’s about as busy as it gets.
Being off the beaten track, you will experience the luxury of complete privacy whilst choosing your wedding dress within this breath taking natural setting. There is plenty of parking at my bridal boutique.
“My bridal boutique, Wildacre in Surrey, is also home to my atelier, where I work on new wedding dress designs to add to the ever-evolving Couture Kit collection. I often work on creating new prototypes, sourcing new sustainable fabrics, silks and laces, and perfecting the patterns and construction techniques which make my bridal gowns so special.”
I usually have a variety of projects going on here…
If you follow me on Instagram, you may notice I published a book last year about what to do with your old wedding dress and has a growing YouTube channel. Come and have a look!
I’m a Speaker, and regularly meet design students and aspiring bridal designer dressmakers looking to work in my field, to offer support, collaborations and mentoring.
You can relax here, and feel inspired and confident… a million miles from the hustle and bustle of the high street.
